The Task At Hand:  

The Director of Operations will drive efficiency and scalability in overall operations, safety, logistics, and compliance. The Director will also oversee all operational teams; Manufacturing, Finance, Operations, and People & Culture. This role demands a proactive, resourceful problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing high-level strategy with hands-on execution. The ideal person is an empathetic and decisive leader, capable of managing shifting priorities, driving efficiency, and fostering strong relationships across all levels of the organization. 

In This Role, You Will:   

Drive efficiency and scalability in manufacturing, logistics, and compliance. The Director of Operations will implement systems for asset tracking, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring OSHA compliance and EHS standards. With expertise in process improvement and international vendor management, they will coordinate across multiple teams. This role requires a hands-on, strategic leader who can balance high-level planning with day-to-day execution in a fast-paced environment.  

Operational Efficiency & Scalability 

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to support Aquacycl’s growth and efficiency goals. 
  • Oversee supply chain, manufacturing, and production. 
  • Establish and optimize processes for procurement, inventory management, and logistics. 
  • Implement operational KPIs and continuously assess performance to drive improvements. 
  • Drive cost control initiatives while maintaining quality and compliance with industry standards. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership 

  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer success teams to ensure successful project deployments. 
  • Partner with the C-suite to define and execute strategic goals for the company’s long-term success. 
  • Develop and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. 
  • Oversee finance and people & culture functions to ensure operational alignment with business objectives. 

Risk Management & Compliance 

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring business continuity. 
  • Support strategic planning and contribute to long-term growth initiatives. 

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You: 

  • 8+ years in operations leadership, preferably in manufacturing, industrial services, or environmental technology.  
  • Proven ability to optimize operations, scale processes, and improve efficiency. 
  • Experience with ERP implementation for asset tracking, budgeting, and reporting.  
  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.  
  • Knowledge of industrial EHS programs, OSHA compliance, and transportation logistics. 
  • Familiarity with international entity and vendor processes (UK, NL, MX).  
  • Experience in manufacturing, finance, HR, and QuickBooks Online.  
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Resourceful, critical thinker with a high level of initiative. Confident decision-maker with flexibility to pivot on projects and shift priorities quickly. 
  • Empathetic leader with outstanding organizational and time management skills.  
  • Ability to handle diverse tasks, including physical labor, and effectively engage with all levels of staff and external partners across multiple locations. 

Location:  

  • Ability to the travel to the Escondido office on a daily basis.  

Compensation:  

  • $125k-$130k annually
