You are a seasoned technician from industries like environmental, plumbing, wastewater, or construction that is no stranger to hard labor and getting your hands (very) dirty at work. You’re the type that loves to troubleshoot problems, understand how systems work, and are able to visit our site in Temple, TX. Your brain is mechanically inclined and you’ve had plenty of experience using hand tools in previous jobs or at home.  

The Task At Hand 

The Field Service Technician – Wastewater Operations provides onsite and remote monitoring, troubleshooting, repair, and control services for new and existing Aquacycl customers. The Field Service Technician member in Texas will ensure company success and extreme customer satisfaction by servicing our customer site in Temple, TX. They’ll troubleshoot and/or fix operational issues and execute regular hardware maintenance. 

(This role is open to part-time, full-time, or contract depending on candidate experience and availability.) 

In This Role, You Will  

You’ll provide onsite and remote monitoring/control services for Aquacycl’s customer in Temple, TX.   

Here are the top priorities: 

  • Executing basic site maintenance for wastewater treatment systems including sludge removal, addressing flow issues, upgrading hardware, site cleaning, collecting & analyzing samples. 
  • Developing a deep understanding of how Aquacycl technology works and can be further improved to address customer challenges and minimize onsite maintenance. 
  • Responding to software alerts and consistently monitoring site performance throughout travel and non-travel days to ensure system safety and operations.  
  • Ensuring compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations and being proactive in safety practices, trainings, and policies. 

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You: 

  • 3+ years of hardware experience in the plumbing, environmental, water or related industry is required.  
  • Successful track record in servicing water or wastewater systems at customer sites, preferred. 
  • Valid driver’s license and potentially passport is required.  
  • Ability and flexibility to travel weekly and work extended hours (up to 10 hours a day when onsite), including occasional bimonthly weekend travel. 
  • Technical report writing is a plus. 
  • Knowledge in hydraulic systems operation is a plus.  
  • Experience with PVC plumbing and general plumbing knowledge 
  • Aptitude for learning new software programs and digital monitoring tools (e.g. Pager Duty)  
  • Be able to execute physical tasks including: 
  • Using hand-tools 
  • Safely operating power tools 
  • Occasionally lifting 50-pound pieces of hardware.

Location:  

  • Ability to travel 3-5 days a week to our customer site in Temple, TX.  

Compensation:  

  • $50-55k annually, Exempt
