The Task At Hand:  

As a Junior Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in daily laboratory operations, working with a team dedicated to advancing sustainable wastewater treatment solutions. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, take initiative, and gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge lab environment. 

In This Role, You Will:   

Have a proactive and organized approach to laboratory operations, addressing day-to-day technical challenges while contributing to the long-term success of Aquacycl’s wastewater treatment solutions. Key areas of focus will include laboratory management, experimental execution, data collection and analysis, equipment maintenance, and process optimization. All laboratory activities must align with Aquacycl’s mission of sustainability, efficiency, and innovation in wastewater treatment. Here’s what the role will focus on: 

Laboratory Operations  

  • Assemble BETT systems for laboratory use. 
  • Inoculate, maintain, and decommission BETT systems in the lab. 
  • Set up and maintain lab equipment and conduct experiments. 

Testing and Data Management  

  • Perform tests on wastewater Samples following Aquacycl’s Protocols  
  • Accurately record and input test results into data systems  

Laboratory Maintenance & Safety  

  • Maintain lab cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards. 
  • Track lab inventory and assist with ordering supplies. 

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You: 

  • At the minimum, a high school diploma or GED (Associate’s degree in related field is a plus, but not required.)  
  • A strong sense of ownership, reliability, and commitment to completing tasks and projects on time with exceptional quality. 
  • A willingness to learn new skills and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Hands-on laboratory experience (at least at the high school level) and the ability to acquire skills through training.

Compensation:  

  • $18-$19/hr
