This Describes You:

You are a mid-level project engineer who has mechanical engineering experience in the water industry or hydraulic systems in general. Planning projects, selecting equipment, and creating design schematics are your specialties and you thrive in an environment that always has new challenges to conquer. You’re interested in traveling to customer sites and seeing your designs come to life.

The Task At Hand:

The Project Engineer will partner closely with sales, manufacturing, and systems operations team to plan out technical specifications that allow our BETT system to be effectively installed at our customer sites and integrated with external equipment. One of the biggest challenges is the ability to predict equipment selection for our unique customers.

We currently have 3 installations with the potential of 5 new projects in 2024 and growing. Each customer site is unique and the Project Engineer will need to thoroughly design and select proper water-related equipment to complement our system.

In This Role You Will:

Have a proactive and organized approach to equipment selection, evaluating technical documentation, and identifying the most ideal solution for customer site layouts. The Project Engineer will plan, schedule, predict, and manage all technical aspects of customer projects related to integrating packaged wastewater treatment plants to ensure accuracy, proper resources, and quality. Here’s a breakdown of the priorities:

Engineering:

  • Efficiently design site layouts that provide solutions to customer challenges.
  • Identify vendors, equipment, and integrations that address our needs.
  • Critically evaluate technical documentation (AutoCAD, manuals, functionality spec sheets)
  • Determine pumps, valves, and electrical specs that allow our Aquacycl system to successfully connect to our customer’s process water treatment system.
  • Prepare BOMs, and select and procure the necessary materials and equipment for project completion.

Equipment Selection:

  • Determine detailed project specifications and product designs based on customer requirements and performance standards.
  • Select pre- and post-treatment technologies to complement Aquacycl systems and provide complete wastewater treatment solutions for the customer.
  • Communicate with other wastewater treatment technology providers or equipment vendors.

Project Tracking:

  • Create and maintain project schedule, and ensure the design, consistency and functionality of the project throughout the entire process of design, manufacturing, testing, and installation.
  • Prepare project cost projections and track project expenses
  • Prepares project status reports and informs supervisors promptly of any schedule changes, and works closely with engineers, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure requirements are met.
  • Regularly communicate with customers to provide proper system design and integration and progress updates.
